New Patients

The First Visit

On your first visit to our office you will be warmly welcomed by one of our front desk C.A.'s You will then be asked to fill out our required forms, which will help us to learn about you and the reason for your visit.

Dr. Marr will then talk with you and ask you some specific questions regarding the reason for your visit to determine if chiropractic care may be of benefit to you.

After your consulation with Dr. Marr, you will have a complete chiropractic examination. This will include testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard orthopedic, neurologic, postural and physical examinations. The doctor will gain valuable information regarding your condition so that a better understanding of how chiropractic can help you.

Dr. Marr will then ask one of the Chiropractic Assistant's to take you back for X-rays. X-rays are taken on all of our patients (except for pregnant women and very young children) to get a full evaluation. The x-rays will reveal any structural or functional problems you may have. This will help identify areas of spinal malfunction and resulting nervous system deficits. Dr. Marr will actually measure the misalignments of your spine down to a millimeter on the x-rays that are taken! Remember that to see is to know, while not to see is to guess. We will not guess about your health.

Once your x-rays are developed and analyzed Dr Marr will bring you in to the adjustment room and go over his findings with you in detail. He will show you the cause of your problem and discuss the steps necessary to correct your current condition and reach your health care goals. Dr. Marr will then explain to you the proposed treatment schedule and explain the reasons behind our approach to treating your condition.

Appointments

The most important part of your care is your adjustment. Each visit builds on the one before, so missing a visit can impair the results we would expect from you.

Dr. Marr will suggest a series of appointments in relation to your care. For optimum results, please follow this treatment plan as closely as possible. If you find that you must reschedule one of your appointments, please do so within the next two to three days. We request that you give us as much advance notice as possible to enable another patient to be seen.

Insurance/Financial Information

We accept all insurance coverage with chiropractic benefits. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, cash and personal checks or debit cards.

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made.

Many people assume that because they have insurance, all of their care is covered, when in reality it is likely to help with only a portion of the care you'll need.

You may be tempted to stop your care when you start to feel better. DON'T. This will predispose you to a relapse, because supporting muscles and ligaments won't be fully healed. That happens gradually, with continued care, AFTER symptoms go away.

Dr. Marr bases his recommendations on a deep desire to see you get well and stay well. This may be at odds with the limitations on your policy. Regardless of your coverage, Dr. Marr will suggest the chiropractic care he thinks that you will need.
